RENTAL CONTRACT
RENTAL AGREEMENT AND GENERAL RELEASE
In consideration of the Rental Equipment described on the invoice page of this Rental Agreement and General Release, the parties agree to the following:
- Identity of parties: For this Rental Agreement, “Customer” shall mean the person(s) listed in the “Event Location & Renter” section on the invoice page of this agreement as well as the person signing the agreement (if different), and their agents and/or employees.
- Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel or reschedule your rental items, Coolslides Rental shall be notified, by phone, at least 72 hours prior to the event. Cancellation within 72 hours or after set-up has begun forfeits entire payment amount, if payment has not been made- you will still be charged, and no refund will be given. If event is cancelled due to unforeseen weather conditions, Coolslides Rental must be notified, by phone, at least 24 hours prior to the date of your event. Coolslides Rental also has the final decision call regarding any and all weather cancellations or reschedules within the 72 hours before your event. WE DO NOT CANCEL FOR RAIN WITH LESS THAN 72 HOUR NOTICE. Any rescheduled event is subject to availability at the time of the notification of postponement.
- Weather: Coolslides Rental does not guarantee weather conditions. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your rental before delivery if severe weather conditions are imminent or if we have reason to believe that the equipment and/or its users may be in danger. It is unsafe to operate inflatables if weather conditions forecasted or proved to be any of the following: wind at 15 MPH or greater, wind gusts at 20mph or greater, tornados, hurricanes, or any other severe weather conditions. If conditions are deemed hazardous to participants and/or equipment, we will advise accordingly. Once the equipment is delivered and/or set-up, payment must be made in full regardless of use due to unforeseen weather conditions, disruption of electrical service, or any other unfavorable conditions. Coolslides Rental reserves the right to terminate the rental without refund, at any time, if circumstances have been deemed detrimental to its equipment or may cause unsafe conditions for users. In the event of severe weather during a rental, Customer agrees that they will unplug the inflatable, allow it to deflate, and not use the equipment until Coolslides Rental or its employees deem safe to do so. If event is cancelled due to unforeseen weather conditions, Coolslides Rental must be notified, by phone, at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled date of event listed on this invoice. Coolslides Rental also has the final decision call regarding any and all weather cancellations or reschedules. WE DO NOT CANCEL FOR RAIN WITH LESS THAN 72 HOUR NOTICE. Any rescheduled event is subject to availability at the time of the notification of postponement.
- Payment Terms: The balance on the invoice is due on or before the date of the event, and prior to set-up of any inflatable or equipment. Payments must be made by either cash or credit/debit card. Business’ may pay with a Business Check. We do not accept Personal Checks. If you choose to pay by cash, we must have a credit card on file.
- Credit Card Authorization: By signing this agreement, you authorize Coolslides Rental to charge the card on file for cleaning, damage, repair, replacement and cancellation fees, up to the cost of the rental items listed in this invoice.
- Return Check Policy: If a check is returned to Coolslides Renal for insufficient funds, Customer agrees to pay the total rental balance as well as an additional $75.00 return fee.
- Proof of Identity: Coolslides Rental has the right to request and keep record of State Issued Identification. You must be 19 or older to rent any item from Coolslides Rental.
- Refunds: A refund can be requested until the cancellation period has expired. 72 hours for any reason or 24 hours for weather related cancellations. If you have paid by card, a refund request can be made and will be granted within the cancellation policy, less the payment processing fee and the $1 deposit. The $1 deposit is non-refundable, but can be transferred for another rental within 1 year. The transfer of deposit will be issued as a $1 credit. You will still have to pay a $1 deposit to reserve your rental, but a $1 credit will be issued to your rental. There will be no refunds, under any circumstances, after rental items have been delivered and set-up.
- Operation: Customer agrees to provide *electric* electrical outlet(s) rated at 115 volts with 20 amperes capacity per motor unit within 100feet of each equipment. COOLSLIDES RENTAL WILL ONLY PROVIDE 50FT OF EXTENSION CORD. IF YOU NEED AN ADDITIONAL 50FT, YOU CAN RENT FROM US FOR $20 OR YOU CAN PROVIDE, UP TO AN ADDITIONAL 50FT OF EITHER 12G OR 10G EXTENSION CORD. If you are providing extension cord, it will be checked prior to use. If you are renting more than one unit, you must have multiple outlets available all on different circuit breakers. If the blower stops or the air pressure is low, remove all users immediately, and then CALL COOLSLIDES RENTAL BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH ANYTHING. If you need more than 100ft, you must rent or provide a generator of at least 3000watts (per rental item).
- Care of the Rental Equipment and Cleaning Policy: Customer shall be responsible for any damage to any of the Rental Equipment not caused by ordinary wear and tear. “Ordinary wear and tear” shall mean only the normal deterioration of the rental equipment caused by ordinary, reasonable, and proper use of the rental equipment. Customer shall be liable to Coolslides Rental for all damage, which is not “ordinary wear and tear” including, but is not limited to, cutting or tearing of vinyl or netting, damage due to overturning, overloading, exceeding rated capacities, breakage, improper use, abuse, lack of cleaning, contamination of or dirtying of rental equipment with non-approval items such as chemicals, food, paint, silly string, mud, clay, gum, or other materials. Customer will also be liable for damage done by weather if the damage could have been prevented.
- Set-up: Coolslides Rental will only allow the following ground types for set-up: Grass (Outdoors) and Hard Surface (Indoors). The equipment will NOT be set-up on rough surfaces, such as rocks, gravel, rough asphalt, concrete, bricks, glass, sticks, animal feces, or any other jagged objects that can cause damage to equipment. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that ample room is available for rented equipment to be set-up and that there is a clear pathway, with a minimum of 42” width, prior to the set-up areas prior to Coolslides Rental arriving at the property. If Coolslides Rental deems it unsafe for users to operate equipment and /or if the set-up area is inadequate, the customer is still responsible for the total price of the invoice and any refund will be forfeited. Coolslides Rental WILL NOT remove any of the items listed above, removal will be done by the customer. Due to insurance requirements, customer agrees that once the rental item has been secured to the ground, they will not move the rental item. Only a Coolslides Rental Employee is authorized to move any equipment owned by Coolslides Rental. If any rental item has been moved when we arrive to pick-up, you will be charged a $500 contract violation fee and you will no longer be permitted to rent from Coolslides Rental.
- Equipment Failure or Damage: If for any reason you have an equipment failure or any damage during your rental period, you agree to contact Coolslides Rental IMMEDIATELY. This includes but is not limited to: Blower issues, Inflatable issues or damage, or Dunk Tank issues or damage. Customer agrees not to try to fix any issue or damage. Customer agrees to cease use of rental item if any issue arises until being advised otherwise by Coolslides Rental.
- Weekend (overnight) Rental: The customer is responsible for the security of the inflatable and all its components during the term of this contract, this includes animals that do not belong to you (including both during the day and overnight). Inflatable must be free of anything inside that may cause damage prior to shutting down for the night. The inflatable must be re-inflated, WITH NO WATER ON, prior to Coolslides Rental return to property for pick-up operations, THIS IS A REQUIREMENT AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $50 IF THE ITEM IS NOT INFLATED. The customer will be advised at delivery if blower is to be removed and put in a secure location. Blower Replacement Fee is up to $300, depending on the blower.
- Pick-up Inspection and Right of Entry: If Customer chooses to deflate the equipment before the arrival of the pick-up attendant, it must be re-inflated before your scheduled pick-up time. THIS IS A REQUIREMENT AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $50 IF THE ITEM IS NOT INFLATED. The equipment will be inspected and may receive a preliminary cleaning before removal. The customer grants Coolslides Rental the right to enter into the property for delivery, set-up, inspection during rental period, and return pick-up of the rental equipment within the time periods set forth during the terms of this contract. Any special entry requirements shall be provided to Coolslides Rental prior to the delivery of the equipment.
- Dry Slide Rental: If you are renting a dry inflatable between the months of April and October, we cannot guarantee that your inflatable will arrive completely dry. Our primary rental during these months is water inflatables. As we are more than happy to rent you a dry slide in these months, it is not recommended due to the heat we get in Alabama and we make no promises that our inflatable will arrive completely dry. By signing this contract, you understand that Coolslides Rental is not responsible for any issues that may arise from using a dry slide in the heat (including but not limited to: heat exhaustion, skin burns from hot vinyl, etc).
- Possession: Customer’s right to possession of the Rental Equipment begins upon the items being delivered to Customer’s premises and terminates on the actual pick up by Coolslides Rental. Retention of possession or any failure to permit the pickup of the equipment at or after the end of the “Rental period” specified constitutes a material breach of this agreement. If the equipment is not returned for any reason, including theft, the Customer is obligated to pay to Coolslides Rental the full replacement value for such equipment listed on the invoice page of this agreement, plus all incidental costs associated with the attempted pick up or recovery of the equipment by Coolslides Rental. Customer shall not cause nor permit these items, or any of them, to be sublet, rented, sold, or removed from the delivery address, or otherwise transfer such items. If rental items are not returned and/or levied upon for any reason whatsoever, Coolslides Rental may take possession of said items without further notice or legal process and use whatever force is necessary to do so, including but not limited to, involvement of law enforcement. Customer hereby agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold Coolslides Rental harmless from all claims and costs arising from such retaking. If rental items are stolen, or otherwise moved from the delivery address, Customer shall notify Coolslides Rental immediately.
- Insurance: Coolslides Rental is a licensed business with the State of Alabama and we hold a general liability insurance policy. This policy is for Coolslides Rental. The customer agrees to have adequate insurance of their own (homeowners insurance, event insurance, general liability insurance, etc). The customer may request a copy of our Certificate of Insurance by calling 205-990-0645 or emailing erica@coolslidesrental.com.
- Fees: Coolslides Rental has the right to charge any additional fee as outlined in this contract. We do not confront customers regarding additional fees on site, for our safety. If you have incurred an additional fee during your rental period. Coolslides Rental will document by picture/video, we will charge the card on file, and then we will update the customer accordingly. If any fee is not paid, we will take legal action and any/all related court costs and attorney fees, will be paid by the customer.
- Operation: Never attempt to relocate, adjust, or service a blower. Never use during high winds, gusty winds, thunderstorms, or lightning. The equipment can turn over in high winds, even if anchored, and this could result in severe injuries to the users. Do not resume use until adverse weather conditions have ceased. Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines located on the equipment itself. By signing this contract, you release Coolslides Rental from any and all liability.
- Rules and Supervision: Participants must be supervised at ALL times. Please go over all the rules to participants before using the equipment. Customer agrees to supervise both the equipment and its use at all times the equipment is in the possession of Customer. The Customer assumes the role of operator while equipment is in their possession. If rental equipment is found to be operating without an adult attendant, Coolslides Rental will remove the property, and no refund will be given. You will receive an operation sheet by text prior to the date of your event listed on this invoice. Customer is responsible for enforcing posted rules, rules listed in this document, and any attached rules/code of conduct provided. Customer is responsible for ensuring that the size and number of persons entering the equipment does not exceed the manufacturer’s maximum occupancy, listed in the operation sheet sent by text.
- Adult Operator: Customer agrees to have at least 1 person of average strength per rental item, at all times during operation. This person (Customer/operator) will be responsible for the operation of the rented equipment. By signing this contract you agree that Coolslides Rental has offered an attendant and you have declined. You agree to be fully responsible, at all times, for the rental item(s).
- Disclaimer of Warranties: Coolslides Rental makes no warranty of any kind, either express or implied, as to the condition of or performance of any leased equipment, and the customer agrees to immediately cease use of the equipment and contact Coolslides Rental if any of the leased equipment appears defective in any way or develops any indication of defect or improper working conditions. The customer agrees to use the equipment and the customer’s own risk .
- Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk: Customer understands and acknowledges that play on any amusement device entails both known and unknown risks including, but not limited to, physical injury from falling, slipping, crashing or colliding, emotional injury, paralysis, distress, damage or death to any participant. Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Coolslides Rental harmless from any and all claims, actions, suits, proceedings, costs, expenses, fees, damages and liabilities, including, but not limited to, reasonable attorney’s fees and costs, arising by reason of injury, damage, or death to persons or property, in connection with or resulting from the use of the leased equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, the manufacture, selection, delivery, possession, use, operation, or return of the equipment. Customer hereby releases and holds harmless Coolslides Rental from injuries or damages incurred as a result of the use of the leased equipment. Coolslides Rental cannot, under any circumstances, be held liable for injuries as a result of inappropriate use, God, nature, or other conditions beyond its control or knowledge. Customer also agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Coolslides Rental from any loss, damage, theft or destruction of the equipment during the term of the lease and any extensions thereof. The Customer acknowledges the use of rented equipment that may involve inherently dangerous activities. The risks involved may include, but are not limited to falling, slipping, tripping, colliding with could result in injury, illness paralysis, emotional distress, property damage, and/or death.
- Hold Harmless Provision: The customer recognizes and understand that the use of Coolslides Rental’s equipment may involve inherently dangerous activities. Consequently, the customer agrees to indemnify and hold lessor harmless from any and all claims, actions, suits, proceeding costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including reasonable attorney fees, arising by reason of injury, damage, or death, to persons or property, in connection with or resulting from the use of said equipment including, but not limited to, the delivery, possession, use, operation, or return of the equipment. The customer hereby releases and holds harmless Coolslides Rental (as well as all agents or representatives of Coolslides Rental) from injuries or damages incurred, as a result of the use of said equipment unless Coolslides Rental is operating the equipment and is deemed by a Court of Law to be grossly negligent in its actions. Coolslides Rental cannot, under any circumstances, be held liable for injuries, as result of acts of God, nature, or other conditions beyond its control or knowledge. The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Coolslides Rental (as well as all agents or representatives of Coolslides Rental) from any loss, damage, theft, or destruction of the equipment during the term of this contract and any extension thereof.
- Warranties: Coolslides Rental makes no warranties either expressed or implied as to the condition or performance of any equipment and/or property leased by Customer from Coolslides Rental. By signing this contract, Customer agrees that any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is hereby disclaimed. By signing this contract, Customer agrees that no expressed warranty as to the condition or performance of any equipment and/or property leased by Customer is hereby disclaimed.
- Customer Acknowledgement: Customer acknowledges and certifies that they have had sufficient opportunity to read this entire Agreement and agrees to be bound by all the terms and conditions on all pages and they understand its content and that they execute it freely, intelligently, and without duress of any kind.
- Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the full Agreement between Coolslides Rental and Customer. Any prior agreements, whether written or oral, promises, negotiations, or representations not expressly set forth herein shall be of no force or effect. This is a legally binding agreement between Coolslides Rental and the Customer. Customer acknowledges the receipt of the Rental Equipment that is the subject of the Rental Agreement and General Release and the fact that it is in good working order.
COOLSLIDES RENTAL INFLATABLE RULES
- An attendant 19 years of age or older is required. Do not operate any equipment without a responsible attendant.
- Attendant must read and understand all operation rules and instructions.
- Remove shoes before entering any inflatable unit.
- Sunglasses, jewelry, belts, hairclips, or any other sharp objects are prohibited on the inflatables. Eyeglasses are permitted, but Coolslides Rental is not responsible for damage to the glasses nor damage to the inflatable.
- The use of rafts, noodles, or any other device, to assist riders in going down the slide, are prohibited. Using these types of devices could cause serious damage or injury.
- Do not climb, hang, lean on netting or other containment surfaces.
- Flips, wresting, and horseplay are prohibited on and around the inflatable.
- No face paints allowed in/on inflatables. Water based face paint is acceptable, but this has to be authorized by Coolslides Rental prior to delivery of equipment and will incur a $50 per item fee. If face paint is found and Coolslides Rental was unaware, the customer will be automatically charged a cleaning, repair, and/or replacement fee.
- Persons who are physically impaired, injured, wearing cases, have heart conditions, or are pregnant, should not use inflatable unit.
- No use of any soap, baby oil, or lotion of any kind can be used on the inflatable. If you are renting a dry inflatable, slide slick will be provided.
- No candy, food, gum, or drinks are permitted on the inflatable at any time. If any of these items are found to have been on the inflatable, a cleaning fee will be charged.
- Silly string is strictly prohibited from use on any inflatable. Silly string can melt the vinyl and cause serious damage to the inflatable. If silly string is found on or around the unit, the customer acknowledges that the unit could be stained or damaged and need to be replaced. Repair and Replacement Cost of the unit, varies by unit, and will be repaired or replaced at the customers expense. This expense will be charged to you automatically.
- Water Balloons, Confetti, and Glitter are prohibited from being used on any inflatable. Water Balloons take A LOT of time for use to clean and can melt on, as well as, stain the inflatable unit and melt to tarps. If any water balloons, confetti, or glitter are found on or around the inflatable unit, the customer acknowledges that the unit could require addition cleaning time. Repair and Cleaning Costs will be at the customers expense. This expense will be charged to you automatically.
- Use caution when sliding down any of the inflatable slides. DO NOT JUMP from the top, bounce, or hang on the top of the slide platform. Always sit down and slide from the face forward position. DO NOT go down head first on the slide. Do not go down backwards. One person is to go down the slide at a time. Make sure the pool or landing at the bottom is clear and no one is present before sliding down.
- If you rent a dry inflatable, it MUST stay dry. If it is found that you have used water on a unit that you rented dry, there will be a cleaning fee automatically charged to you.
- If a unit is left at a residence overnight, the inflatable unit can be deflated. You are FULLY RESPONSIBLE for the unit until Coolslides Rental returns to pick up the unit. You are also responsible for any damages that might occur overnight by outside pets, vandals, etc. The blower to the unit must be secured overnight. If theft of the blower were to occur, and the blower was not present at pick-up, you will be responsible for a Blower Replacement Fee of $300. The Blower Replacement Fee will be charged to you automatically.
- ABSOLUTELY NO ANIMALS OF ANY KIND, IN OR AROUND THE RENTED INFLATABLE UNIT.
- Water Hoses and Extension cords that are provided from Coolslides Rental are the responsibility of the renter. They are to be cared for in the same manner as the inflatable. Any damage or missing water hoses or extension cords will be billed to you at replacement cost.
- WATER MUST BE TURNED OFF AFTER USE. If water is to be found left on overnight, you will be responsible for an additional days rental that will be automatically billed to you (as the inflatables can not be rolled up water logged) and we will return to pick up the inflatable the next day.
- Inflatable unit must be reinflated prior to our arrival for pick-up. The inflatable unit will be inspected at pick-up and it helps dry inflatable unit after being deflated overnight.
- Anyone under the age of 19 must be supervised, at all times. By signing this contract, you are releasing Coolslides Rental from any and all liability from injury. Coolslides Rental is not responsible for any damage caused to the unit from negligence or misuse. The customer acknowledges that they will be responsible for any Cleaning Fee, Damage Fee, Repair Fee, Total Replacement Fee, Blower Replacement Fee, or Water Hose – Extension Cord – Tarp Replacement Fee.

ATTENDANT WAIVER OF LIABILITY
By signing this waiver, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
No Coolslides Attendant Requested – I have been offered the option of hiring a trained Coolslides Rental Attendant to supervise the inflatable(s) during the course of my event. I have chosen to decline this option and accept full responsibility for providing appropriate adult supervision for all use of the inflatable(s).
Assumption of Risk – I understand that the use of inflatable equipment carries inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of injury and death. By choosing to supervise the inflatable(s) myself (or designate another responsible adult), I assume all risks associated with the operation and use of the inflatable(s).
Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement – I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Coolslides, its owners, employees, and agents from any and all claims, injuries, damages, liabilities, or losses (including attorney’s fees) resulting from the use or misuse of the inflatable(s) while not under the supervision of a Coolslides Rental Attendant.
Supervision Requirements – I understand that it is my responsibility to ensure that the inflatable(s) are used safely and in accordance with the rules and guidelines provided by Coolslides. I will not allow anyone to use the inflatable(s) without proper supervision and will ensure that all safety rules are followed at all times.
Acknowledgment of Understanding – I have read this waiver in its entirety, understand its contents, and sign it voluntarily. I understand that by declining the rental attendant, I am assuming full liability for the safety and supervision of the inflatable(s) and all individuals who use them during the rental period. %initials%
BOOKING: When you book a slide, you must sign the contract and pay the $1 deposit BEFORE YOUR ITEMS WILL BE RESERVED TO RENT. If you do not pay the deposit and sign the contract, your items will still be available for someone else to book. Please make sure you complete both steps in order for your rental equipment to be reserved. %initials%
ELECTRICAL SOURCE: I understand that I must have an electrical source within 100ft, standard outlet or generator. If there is no electrical source when Coolslides Rental arrives, it will delay your set up time and you will be automatically charged for an additional delivery fee and generator rental. %initials%
RULES AND FEES: I understand that Coolslides Rental strictly enforces all rules as outlined in this contract. Our rules are in place not only to keep our equipment safe, but to keep our customers safe as well. Every rule has a reason and they must all be followed. Fees and/or retrieval of equipment will automatically apply if any of these rules are found not to be followed and no refunds will be given. Fees are outlined in the rules above. %initials%
CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION: I authorize Coolslides Rental to keep my card on file, securely through Square and Inflatable Office. I authorize Coolslides Rental to charge my card on file for any and all fees occurring with misuse of the equipment (including but not limited to cleaning fees, damage fees, repair fees, blower replacement fees, and extension/eater hose replacement fees). By checking this box, you are authorizing Coolslides Rental to charge your card for your invoice total and for any and all fees that our incurred during the rental period. %initials%
ATTENDANT: I understand that if the rental equipment is in use, an adult ages 19 or older must be present at all times and enforcing all rules outlined in this contract. Coolslides Rental reserves the right to inspect property at any point during a rental period. If any equipment is found to be operating without an adult present, Coolslides Rental will retrieve the equipment and no refunds will be given. %initials%
BY SIGNING MY NAME ON THIS CONTRACT, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE COMPLETELY READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS CONTRACT, I WILL AGREE TO BE FULLY INSTRUCTED BY COOLSLIDES RENTAL PERSONNEL AS A TRAINED OPERATOR FOR THE AFOREMENTIONED EQUIPMENT AND HAVE HAD ALL OF MY QUESTIONS ANSWERED TO MY SATISFACTION. I UNDERSTAND THAT I AM MUTUALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ADHERING TO THE TERMS IN THIS AGREEMENT.
Lessor will:
1. Provide the necessary staff to facilitate your event and power cords to reach a maximum of 100ft.
2. Deliver, set-up, tear-down, and operate all activities with/without volunteer staff.
3. Carry a liability insurance policy covering our services & equipment.
Lessee will:
1. Provide _*electric*__ 110volt/20amp electric circuits for distances up to 100ft, additional 50ft of 12g or 14g extension cord, or either rent a generator or provide one for distances over 100ft.
2. Provide any required entrance and parking passes.
3. Provide a minimum of _*volnum*__ adult volunteer(s) to operate the activities
